The Wardens are, of course, extremely busy with the day-to-day
management of the Reserve, practical maintenance work, etc and are unable to meet the large number of requests they receive
from schools, walking groups, local history societies, etc for guided tours and talks.
A limited number
of Friends have, however, undergone extensive training and are able to provide support by delivering informative presentations
on the history and geology of the Reserve: they are also able to lead walks, explaining its main points of interest, etc.
Most of the volunteers are, however, still in full-time employment and walks are therefore normally restricted
to weekends. Please note: there is a minimum group number of 5 and some flexibility might be required with regard
to dates. However, we will do our utmost to accommodate requests.
contact warden, Ian Beech.
